This course is a project-based course and is largely student-driven.  Students will learn to apply the Scrum style of Agile project management.  They will also be involved in the decision making process regarding timelines and assessments.  Students are warned that the nature of this class is drastically different from typical high school courses.  It is much more closely aligned with a college capstone course.  Issues relating to poor time-management or low-quality work cannot be made up later in the term.  There is additional responsibility placed on students in this regard. I expect all of my advanced students to comport themselves as professional individuals seeking to pursue a career in a highly competitive field.

During the course of the year, students participate in the Congressional App Challenge and Hacktoberfest. They also build their GitHub Portfolios.
