MVC hosting 6th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Scholarship Contest for high school students

Moreno Valley Unified School District urges its ninth through twelfth grade students to enter Moreno Valley College's (MVC) sixth annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Scholarship Contest.
 
This year’s theme is Passing the Baton “to Keep the Pressure Alive: Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The competition is open to ninth through twelfth grade students from Moreno Valley Unified School District (MVUSD), Val Verde Unified School District (VVUSD), and Riverside County Education Academy (RCEA – Moreno Valley campus only). MVC faculty will select five winners (two from MVUSD, two from VVUSD, and one from RCEA – Moreno Valley campus only). Each winner will receive a $500 scholarship.

The deadline for essay submissions is Friday, November 30, 2018. Submissions must arrive at MVC by 3 p.m. (see contest rules for more information). No late entries will be accepted.
