Karen Johnson (Principal)
Karen Johnson Welcome parents and students, my name is Karen Y. Johnson, Principal of Valley View High School.   The school year is already in full swing and it has already been an exciting new year, as we continue towards finishing strong. In the tradition of a winning school, we are proud to that our girls’ volleyball team won the CIF Championship for division 3A.  many of our programs including our Health Academy has been nominated as a Distinguished Partnership Academy for the state and one of our teachers, Mr. Brian Harris, was recognized as the California League of High School’s Educator of the Year.  As Principal of Valley High School, I am committed and positioned to carry on the tradition of “Excellence on Purpose,” both in the classroom and on the field.  I am dedicated to make sure all stakeholders:  students, teachers, classified staff, custodians, campus supervisors and administrators are committed to the great traditions.  That means to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.

Our School Motto is:  Eagles soar with Excellence, Lead with Dignity and Pursue with a Purpose". Our goals are strategic and intentional towards ensuring that all students graduate from high school prepared to enter into a higher institution or a viable career.

We welcome you to join with us, and support our efforts towards meeting these goals.  You can do this by joining one or more of our parent organization such as: English Leaner Advisory Committee, School Site Council, Parent Ambassador, Parent Teacher Association, African American Advisory Committee or a Parent Volunteer on Campus.  You can also support our school by becoming a School Community Partner.   You can find out more information about our school on our website which includes programs, success, school events and activities. I am excited about our partnership.  I am available for appointments and welcome the involvement and support of our parents and community members to Valley View High School.
